The Automotive segment team is responsible for the development of Xilinx’s leadership strategy in the automotive market. This includes silicon, solutions (including IP, software and development boards), automotive ecosystem partner and customer strategies. This group is also charged with maintaining and continuing to build the XA (Xilinx Automotive) silicon product line, including both inbound product definition and outbound marketing. It is ultimately responsible for managing long-term strategic OEM and Tier One customer relationships and continuing growth and profitability for the company. The Automotive business segment team is made up completely of automotive OEM, Tier One and semiconductor industry veterans.
The Automotive Product Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Worldwide Automotive Marketing and Product Planning. This role will focus on maintaining day-to-day operations of the XA (Xilinx Automotive) product line, developing operational efficiencies cross-functionally within the greater Xilinx organization, and heavy interaction with sales teams worldwide to understand and impact future planning for the automotive business. The role includes working closely with sales, automotive architects and factory personnel to identify and develop marketing plans, business strategies and tactical plans, and enabling and driving the execution that will support continued long-term growth in Xilinx focus application areas.
Managing the short-term and mid-term XA product line forecasts
Managing automotive business pipeline data tool and all relevant report outs, including developing success criteria and tracking of metrics for longer-term designs in the funnel and shorter-term quarterly design wins
Direct interaction with Xilinx sales, Reps and Distributors, automotive architects and marketing, and factory planning personnel to ensure all inbound business data is current and accurate Work with Automotive Segment team to update business plans, including automotive market research and latest business data Assist in in-bound marketing activities including consolidation of customer requirements, development of business cases (SAM/revenue/SOM assessments and ROI) and report-out to factory Updating the rolling automotive marketing plan utilized by all groups at Xilinx to ensure alignment of outbound marketing schedules, activities and messaging Development of Xilinx Automotive value propositions and outbound collateral with automotive architects Development of product-related collateral including, but not limited to, XA product data sheets, product change notices, product discontinuation notices Manage NPI (new product introduction) processes for all XA devices Work with Marketing Communications, Public Relations, and automotive team to develop marketing campaigns and support outbound activities for trade shows
BSEE or equivalent degree is desired A minimum of 3 years, with 5-7 years preferred, of automotive or semiconductor industry experience Basic technical understanding of semiconductors Knowledge of automotive market, applications, quality requirements and certification standards strongly preferred Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and negotiation) Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a highly cross-functional organization Market research and business planning background highly desired Must be a strong team player and very self-motivated individual Must be fluent in the English language Job location is Xilinx headquarters office in San Jose, California
